International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a globally recognized English language proficiency test. Its mission is to assess the language ability of individuals who aim to study, work, or migrate to English-speaking countries. IELTS consists of four sections: Listening (40 items), Reading (40 items), Writing (2 tasks), and Speaking (face-to-face interview). The IELTS scoring system ranges from 0 to 9, with half-band increments. The passing score varies depending on the requirements of institutions or organizations, but typically a score of 6.0 or higher is considered a passing score. IELTS provides a reliable measure of English proficiency for academic, professional, and immigration purposes. It has two formats: Academic and General. IELTS Academic has been developed for those who wish to study at a university or college at undergraduate and postgraduate levels or join a professional institution. IELTS General tests the every-day, non-academic English and has been designed for those who wish to migrate to an English-speaking country or enter a secondary education.
